Fadac Resources and Services Limited – Our client is a leading Nigerian Packaging company. They specialize in the production of preforms for the Beverage, Edible oil markets and the production of Jerry Cans for the Lubricant Oil industry.

Due to expansion, they are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
• ​Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
• Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
• Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
• Inspect and maintain building systems(heating, ventilation etc.)
• Handling ofshift, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
• Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
• Maintain extrusion and injection lines, mold-related issues, hydraulic seals replacement and plumbing related issues.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
• At least 3 experiences as a Mechanical supervisor or similar role
• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
• Understanding of budgeting and performance management
• Excellent planning and leadership ability
• An eye for detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate in English.
