Job Title: Mechanical Service Engineer Coordinator – Male

Location: Oshodi-Cele, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Job Responsibilities

• Receive, register, and coordinate customer service requests, breakdown calls, and complaints.
• Schedule and assign service engineers/technicians for breakdown, preventive maintenance, and emergency service calls.
• Coordinate Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for generators as per customer contracts and recommended service intervals.
• Follow up with field engineers regarding job status, pending work, and customer requirements.
• Maintain daily records of service calls, engineer visits, breakdowns, PM activities, and completed jobs.
• Coordinate with the spare parts and stores department for availability of required parts, lubricants, filters, batteries, belts, and other materials.
• Coordinate with customers regarding service schedules, engineer visits, quotations, pending approvals, and job completion.
• Ensure service engineers submit Service Reports/Job Cards after completion of every visit.
• Review service reports and ensure all required information, observations, recommendations, and customer approvals are properly recorded.
• Escalate major technical issues, delays, spare-part requirements, and customer complaints to the Service Manager.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Experience Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in service coordination, maintenance coordination, or after-sales service, preferably in the Diesel Generator / Power Generation industry.
• Experience coordinating DG breakdown services, preventive maintenance (PM), AMC contracts, and emergency service calls.
• Practical experience in coordinating service engineers/technicians and daily field activities.
• Experience handling customer complaints, service requests, quotations, work orders, and service reports.
• Good understanding of diesel generator engines, alternators, control panels, batteries, and basic DG maintenance.
• Experience coordinating spare parts and consumable requirements with stores/purchase teams.
• Experience maintaining service records, PM schedules, job cards, and customer equipment history.
• Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, email, ERP/CRM, or service management software is an advantage.
• Ability to coordinate multiple service calls and prioritize critical generator breakdowns.
• Knowledge of AMC and preventive maintenance activities
• Strong customer communication, follow-up, and team coordination skills.
