Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Reports to: Head of Projects

Job Summary

• The Mechanical Engineer will provide in-house mechanical design and oversee general site supervision of building projects, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) using AutoCAD and relevant software.
• Oversee general site activities across disciplines (not limited to mechanical works) to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise and verify the proper installation of mechanical systems.
• Track site progress, identify risks or deviations, and recommend corrective measures.
• Collaborate with other engineers and project staff to integrate mechanical systems effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations.
• Provide detailed daily/weekly site reports covering progress of program of works(POW), risks, and compliance status.
• Contribute to project cost and timeline control by ensuring adherence to plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
• COREN registration (mandatory).
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in building design and general site supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools (e.g., Revit MEP, HAP, SolidWorks).
• Sound knowledge of construction standards, safety codes, and compliance practices.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, and analytical skills.

Salary
N500,000 – N600,000 Monthly.
