Job Description

• A math teacher’s job is to teach mathematical concepts and formulas to students.They also prepare students for exams, grade tests, and assign homework.

Responsibilities
Create lesson plans:

• Math teachers plan lessons that align with the curriculum and students’ needs.They may use textbooks, worksheets, games, or other materials.

Teach math concepts:

• Math teachers explain math concepts and formulas to students.They may also model problem-solving steps.

Prepare students for exams:

• Math teachers prepare students for standardized tests and college entrance exams.

Communicate with parents:

• Math teachers communicate with parents and may refer students to outside help.

Manage the classroom:

• Math teachers manage the classroom and ensure students use equipment and materials appropriately.

Qualifications

• Math teachers typically have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Mathematics with teacher education courses.
• They may also need state licensing.

Remuneration
N100,000 to N120,000 per month.
