Job Title: Mathematics Teacher (NYSC)

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Nysc

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum objectives for Mathematics subject.
• Create engaging and interactive learning experiences to facilitate student understanding and retention.
• Assess student progress through various forms of evaluation, including tests, quizzes, and assignments.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
• Act as a support teacher for Mathematics teachers assisting in lesson delivery and providing additional guidance to students as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate instructional activities and initiatives.
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Mathematics or related field.
• 1 – 3 years relevant work experience.
• NYSC member currently serving in Abuja.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Mathematics curriculum standards.
• Familiarity with teaching Cambridge Mathematics is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students to achieve academic success.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage.
