St. Francis Catholic Secondary School (SFCSS), Idimu, is a Catholic school run by the North-West African Province of the Society of Jesus. It wasfounded in 1990 by a Jesuit priest, Fr. Francis Cusimano, S.J. the first set of students arrived in January 1991. St. Francis Catholic Secondary School runs the Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary School Programmes as specified in the Nigerian National Policy on Education. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mathematics / Further Mathematics Teacher

Location: Council Bus Stop – Idimu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students’ understanding and application of mathematical concepts
• Responsible for assigning homework, grading assignments and quizzes, and documenting students’ progress
• Developing flexible, effective teaching tools and methods to help students learn mathematics
• Ensure students acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills, and understanding appropriate to the subject taught
• Utilization of visual materials and other learning equipment for better comprehension
• Explaining mathematical concepts in easy and understandable terms to the students.

Requirements

• B.Sc. / B.Sc. Ed / B.Eng / PGDE in Mathematics or related course
• 2 – 7 years relevant work experience.
• Proven experience as a Mathematics and Further Mathematics Teacher
• Knowledge of teaching styles is recommended
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
