Job Description

• A Driver’s job description involves operating vehicles to transport people or goods safely and efficiently, planning optimal routes, performing pre-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance, and adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate logs, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the vehicle is clean and secure.

Core Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation: Safely operate company vehicles (cars, vans, trucks, buses) to transport personnel or cargo to designated locations.
• Route Planning: Plan and execute efficient routes, considering traffic, road conditions, and delivery requirements to ensure timely arrivals.
• Safety & Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, perform basic maintenance like checking fluids and tire pressure, and report any vehicle issues for repair.
• Loading & Unloading: Securely load and unload goods, materials, or passengers’ luggage, following proper safety procedures.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery logs, and any incidents or maintenance.
• Compliance: Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
• Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service to clients, passengers, or colleagues, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an SSCE, OND, or NCE qualification with 5-6 years experience.
• Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are usually required.
• Navigation Skills: Ability to read maps, use GPS navigation apps, and understand routes.
• Time Management: Punctual and reliable with strong time management skills.
• Communication: Clear communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry items up to a certain weight, as well as sit for extended periods.

N80,000 – N100,000 / Month.
