Job Title: Marine Operations Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• We are seeking an experienced Marine Operations Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company-owned vessels.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee vessel safety, compliance, maintenance, certification, and documentation.
• Coordinate with Masters, Port Captains, authorities, crew, and service providers.
• Ensure timely supplies, spares, crew changes, and vessel readiness.
• Monitor vessel performance, incidents, subcontractors, and corrective actions.
• Support crew recruitment, training, audits, and continuous operational improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ relevant experience in marine/vessel operations, preferably in a management or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, Flag State, Class, and statutory requirements.
• Experience with vessel maintenance, audits, certification, crew management, and marine safety.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to vessels and ports.
