Job Title: Marine Engineer

Location: Sapele, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Marine Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of marine vessel engines and systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vessels.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain marine diesel engines, propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and electrical systems.
• Perform repairs, overhauls, and modifications to vessel engines and systems.
• Conduct engine performance monitoring and analysis to optimize efficiency and identify potential issues.
• Supervise engine room operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant marine regulations and classification society requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering.
• Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) as a Marine Engineer Officer.
• Marine Engineer Officer Class 2 certification (or higher) is required.
• Extensive knowledge of marine diesel engines, propulsion systems, and auxiliary machinery.
