Job Title: Maintenance Officer

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Work schedule: Alternative days | 9am – 9pm

About the Role

• The Maintenance Officer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining essential building systems to ensure smooth operations across Cr8tive Workspace facilities.
• This hands-on role requires troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to guarantee a safe, functional, and hazard-free environment for members and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Generator Management: Operate and maintain generators by monitoring running hours, tracking diesel usage, and scheduling preventive maintenance. Ensure optimal performance and report issues promptly.
• AC & Electrical Maintenance: Ensure air conditioning, lighting, and electrical systems are fully functional and properly serviced.
• Plumbing & General Repairs: Perform basic plumbing, general maintenance, and minor facility repairs.
• Facility Inspections: Identify and address potential hazards and maintenance needs through routine checks.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to fire safety, electrical, and building regulations.
• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external contractors, technicians, and service providers as needed.
• Emergency Response: Provide quick solutions to power outages, leaks, equipment failures, or other urgent maintenance issues.
• General Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Basic technical skills in electrical, plumbing, and AC maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Effective communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with vendors.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
• Must live around Surulere and be available for flexible working hours (including evenings or weekends when needed).
