Job Summary

• Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Maintenance Manager to join its team.
• The primary responsibility of the role holder will be to oversee and manage the maintenance operations for our fleet of vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
• The role holder will also play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our client’s fleet of trucks through effective maintenance strategies, team management, and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the maintenance operations for the fleet of vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
• Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of assets.
• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve high-quality maintenance outcomes.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program, scheduling routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize asset performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, implementing appropriate safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment for maintenance personnel.
• Monitor and analyze key maintenance metrics, such as equipment reliability, uptime, and maintenance costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and finance, to align maintenance objectives with overall company goals and initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring the timely availability of parts, equipment, and services.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in maintenance management, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications and training in maintenance management are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management in the logistics/trucking industry, with at least 3 years in a senior management position.
• Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance operations for a fleet of vehicles (especially trucks) and equipment.
• Strong understanding of maintenance processes and best practices, including preventive maintenance, equipment diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data and trends to drive maintenance improvements and cost savings.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards in the logistics/trucking industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
