Job Title: Maintenance Fitter / Welder

Job Overview

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment, as well as performing welding tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on plant machinery and equipment.
• Fabricate, assemble, and weld components and structural frameworks according to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Operate workshop equipment such as lathes, drills, grinders, and welding machines.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years proven experience in a similar maintenance fitter/welding role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
