We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: LPG Manager

Location: Owerri, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly experienced andgrounded LPG Manager to lead the development, installation andoperational management of our LPG facilities across existing and new outlets.
  • This is a hands-on and strategic role for a professional with strong technical and operational knowledge of LPG facilities, who can manage projects from installation through commissioning and subsequently establish the systems, standards, people, and processes required for safe and efficient operations.
  • The ideal candidate must be thoroughly experienced in LPG operations, SOP development, staff training, safety management, and facility commissioning, with the maturity and professional discipline required to lead a growing LPG business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation and commissioning of LPG plants across existing outlets and new locations.
  • Coordinate LPG facility projects from planning and design through installation, testing, commissioning, and operational handover.
  • Ensure all LPG facilities are designed, installed, and operated in line with applicable regulatory, technical, HSE, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive LPG operational SOPs, work instructions, checklists, and control processes.
  • Establish standard operating procedures covering LPG receiving, storage, dispensing, cylinder handling, stock management, emergency response, and daily operations.
  • Develop and deliver practical training programmes for LPG plant operators and relevant station personnel.
  • Establish competency and safety standards for personnel working around LPG facilities.
  • Conduct operational and safety assessments across LPG outlets and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor LPG plant performance, inventory, losses, equipment condition, and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, HSE, Operations, and other relevant teams to ensure effective integration of LPG facilities into existing outlets.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders during LPG installation and commissioning projects.
  • Ensure proper documentation, commissioning records, equipment certifications, inspection reports, and maintenance schedules are maintained.
  • Develop preventive maintenance standards and ensure timely servicing of LPG equipment and facilities.
  • Lead investigations into LPG-related incidents, equipment failures, losses, and operational deviations and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
  • Continuously review LPG operations and identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, safety enhancement, and business growth.
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to management on LPG expansion and facility development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in LPG, gas operations, petroleum, or related downstream oil & gas operations.
  • Demonstrable experience in LPG plant installation, commissioning, and operations.
  • Strong practical knowledge of LPG storage, handling, dispensing, safety, and facility management.
  • Proven experience developing SOPs, operational standards, and control processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and developing operational personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE, risk assessment, emergency response, and safe LPG handling practices.
  • Experience managing contractors, technical teams, and facility installation projects.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple locations and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant professional certifications in LPG, Engineering, HSE, or Oil & Gas will be an advantage.
