Job Summary

• The Superintendent Logistics is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistics, transportation, and distribution activities within the organization.
• The role ensures timely delivery of materials and finished goods, efficient fleet management, proper inventory movement, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills to support smooth operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily logistics and transportation operations.
• Coordinate movement of raw materials, finished goods, and other supplies.
• Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products to customers and branches.
• Monitor fleet operations, vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate logistics, inventory, and transportation records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations.
• Track deliveries and resolve logistics-related issues promptly.
• Prepare logistics reports, performance analysis, and operational updates.
• Supervise logistics personnel, drivers, loaders, and transport coordinators.
• Monitor third-party transporters and vendors for service quality and cost efficiency.
• Implement strategies to reduce logistics costs and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to minimize damages and losses.
• Conduct periodic inspections of vehicles, loading areas, and logistics facilities.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics Transport Management, Industrial Management, or related field.

Experience:

• 3–5 years proven experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
• Experience in manufacturing is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Good knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of inventory and fleet management systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
