Job Title: Logistics Officer

Job Summary

• The Logistics Officer ensures the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of furniture deliveries.
• The role focuses on optimizing logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of furniture, reducing costs, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures seamless route planning to ensure timely delivery and cut down delivery costs
• Communicates with clients on the delivery of their furniture and post delivery feedback.
• Supervise logistics staff and manage storage, movement, and tracking of furniture.
• Plan and oversee dispatch schedules to ensure timely delivery to customers, showrooms, or project sites.
• Liaise with production, sales, and procurement teams to align delivery timeliness.
• Coordinate with external transporters for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Negotiate delivery timelines, rates, and service terms where applicable.
• Prepare delivery notes, shipping documents, waybills, and stock reports.
• Track deliveries, returns, and inventory changes using ERP or logistics management software.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations during handling, storage, and transportation of furniture.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3 – 4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in a furniture or manufacturing environment
• Experience with ERP or logistics platforms is an advantage.
