Job Title: Logistics Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a qualified and capable Logistics Officer to join our team immediately.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the transportation, storage, and distribution of our books and materials to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain and timely delivery to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor stock levels and take regular inventory of books and other materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff for proper storage and retrieval of inventory.
  • Plan and coordinate timely delivery of books to Sales Representatives in various locations.
  • Ensure accuracy in delivery — right books to the right representatives.
  • Prepare delivery schedules and route plans for logistics drivers.
  • Track waybills/shipments and address delivery issues or delays promptly.
  • Liaise with transport providers (park drivers/courier services) to ensure reliable and cost-effective delivery solutions.
  • Ensure proper documentation — timely and accurate filing of delivery notes, waybills, and invoices.
  • Supervise the packaging and labeling of books for delivery.
  • Monitor and oversee logistics drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Identify potential disruptions in the supply chain and develop contingency plans.
  • Coordinate the return process for damaged or unsold books.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all logistics activities.

Requirements

  • HND/ND/NCE in Logistics, Supply Chain, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a logistics-related role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Basic knowledge of transportation laws, traffic regulations, and road safety standards.
