We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Literature-in-English Teacher

Location: Okija, Anambra

Job Description

  • We seek a highly qualified and passionate Literature-in-English teacher to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching literature courses to students at the high school or college level, developing curriculum, and assessing student progress.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and engage students.

Responsibilities

  • Teach literature courses to students at the secondary school level.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for literature courses, including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students
  • Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Participate in school events and activities
  • Stay current with developments in English literature and pedagogy.

Requirements
Education:

  • Master’s Degree in English, English Education, or a related field
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related field may be considered for entry-level positions.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of teaching experience in a high school or college setting
  • Experience teaching literature courses at the high school or college level
  • Experience developing and implementing curriculum.

Skills:

  • Master’s degree in English, English Education, or a related field
  • Strong background in English literature
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills
  • Ability to inspire and engage students
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and administrators
  • Familiarity with curriculum design and assessment.

Salary
N80,000 – N100,000 Monthly.
