Job Title: Land and Building Surveyor

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting accurate land and building surveys, establishing property boundaries, and providing critical data to support construction, renovation, and structural projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting land and building surveys using total stations, GPS, 3D scanners, and other advanced tools.
• Measuring and mapping building interiors and exteriors to ensure accuracy for construction, renovation, or restoration projects.
• Inspecting buildings to assess structural integrity, identify defects, and recommend maintenance or remedial actions.
• Producing detailed survey reports, floor plans, and condition assessments to support decision-making.
• Advising on building regulations compliance, property condition, and construction quality.
• Establishing legal property boundaries and preparing survey documents compliant with regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver accurate survey data and technical insight.
• Monitoring and ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld during survey operations.
• Maintaining accurate survey records, maps, and databases for internal and regulatory use.

Person Specification

• B.Sc./ HND in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience conducting both land and building surveys.
• Proven experience working on high-rise building projects is required.
• Proficiency in surveying software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D,and GIS tools.
• Sound knowledge of property boundary principles, construction layouts, and local land regulations.
• Relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
