Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Summary

• We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support day-to-day laboratory operations in Abeokuta.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests, preparing samples, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring accurate data recording. You must be organized, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and analyze samples following standard procedures
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Record and interpret test data accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of chemicals and samples
• Calibrate lab equipment and document performance logs
• Follow all health and safety regulations in the lab
• Support senior technicians or scientists as needed
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and submit daily or weekly reports

Requirements

• OND / HND / BSc in Science Laboratory Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years of laboratory experience
• Familiarity with lab safety and quality control protocols
• Good knowledge of laboratory instruments and diagnostic tools
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel) for reporting
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Attributes:

• Previous lab experience in construction, healthcare, manufacturing, or food/agriculture is an advantage
• Resident in Abeokuta or willing to relocate.

Remuneration

• Salary N120,000 – N150,000 Monthly
• Negotiable and competitive, based on qualifications and experience.
