We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Lily Hospitals is currently seeking a competent and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support our diagnostics and laboratory operations.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical skill, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safe and ethical laboratory practices.
  • This role is for professionals who value quality, follow protocols rigorously, and work well within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, label, and process samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for routine and specialized laboratory testing.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety guidelines and quality control measures.
  • Accurately record, analyze, and report test results using laboratory software and manual logs.
  • Support the Lab Manager and Pathologist in day-to-day operations and quality assurance audits.
  • Maintain cleanliness and calibration of equipment, and assist in inventory management of reagents and supplies.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid practicing license
  • At least 1–3 years hands-on experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance protocols and biosafety procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
