Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Bodija, Ibadan – Oyo

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation:

• Assist with basic food prep: washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
• Prepare simple menu items under the direction of the chef (e.g., salads, sandwiches, fruit trays).
• Help pack meals, snacks, and beverages for catered events.

Kitchen Operations:

• Organize and restock ingredients, equipment, and utensils.
• Follow set recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
• Assist in plating, garnishing, and arranging food for service.
• Support chefs with bulk cooking tasks as required.

Catering & Event Support:

• Pack and label food items for delivery or event service.
• Assist with loading and offloading food, equipment, and supplies for catering events.
• Help set up serving stations at event locations when needed.

Cleaning & Hygiene:

• Maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas, work surfaces, and utensils.
• Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment promptly.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and kitchen sanitation.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations (food safety standards).

Inventory & Stock:

• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies; report shortages to the chef or manager.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries properly.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a relevant qualifications with 1-3 years experience.

Salary
N50,000 – N70,000 / Month.
