Job Title: Junior Agronomist (Cocoa Plantation)

Locations: Lagos, Ogun, and Osun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a hands-on Junior Agronomist to support day-to-day cocoa farm operations.
• The role involves direct fieldwork, implementation of good agronomic practices, and close supervision of farm activities to improve yield and plantation health.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planting, nursery management, pruning, fertilization, and pest/disease control
• Monitor cocoa tree health and soil conditions and recommend improvements
• Supervise farm workers and ensure tasks are executed according to plan
• Maintain basic farm records (inputs, activities, yields)
• Support harvesting, post-harvest handling, and farm sanitation practices
• Ensure compliance with safety and sustainable farming practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or B.Sc. in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, or related field
• 1–3 years practical experience in cocoa or tree crop farming (field-based)
• Willingness to live on or near the farm
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
