We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Inventory Officer

Locations: Ibadan – Oyo, Ado-Ekiti – Ekiti and Ilorin – Kwara
Employment Type: Contract (3 months with possible contract renewal)

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Officer to manage and oversee stock movement, inventory control, and day-to-day operational support at multiple inventory sites across various states.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, monitoring stock levels, facilitating stock transfers, and providing real-time support for Odoo ERP system operations.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across assigned locations.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of stock movements in the Odoo ERP system.

Stock Movement Control:

  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all stock transfers and shipments.
  • Coordinate stock replenishment and redistribution among sites.

Data Accuracy and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and generate periodic reports.
  • Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare monthly inventory and stock movement summaries.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
  • Report and escalate any incidents of theft, loss, or damage.
  • Liaise with security teams to ensure the physical security of stocks.

ERP System Support:

  • Provide technical support for Odoo ERP system users.
  • Troubleshoot system-related inventory issues and liaise with the technical team for resolution.
  • Train site staff on best practices for inventory tracking and system usage.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Odoo ERP or similar inventory management systems.
  • Other Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Behavioral Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Inventory Management or Supply Chain (e.g., APICS, CIPS).
  • Experience working in multi-location inventory environments.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel between inventory sites as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
