We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Control and Auditor Supervisor

Location: OPIC Industrial Estate, Lagos

Job Summary

• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls across all business processes.
• Safeguard assets, ensure compliance, prevent fraud, and support transformation from technical insolvency to profitability through rigorous process discipline.

Key Responsibilities
Internal Control Framework (30%):

• Design and document control procedures for all critical processes (procurement, sales, cash, inventory, payroll, assets)
• Implement Critical Control Points (CCPs) for high-risk areas
• Ensure proper segregation of duties
• Develop and maintain SOPs for all departments
• Monitor Odoo ERP approval workflow compliance—ZERO tolerance for informal approvals
• Conduct quarterly control effectiveness reviews.

Audit Execution (25%):

• Monthly internal audits of 2+ departments/processes
• Surprise cash counts and inventory spot checks
• Vendor verification audits (existence, pricing, delivery confirmation)
• Audit bank reconciliations and cash management
• Review expense claims and advance retirements
• Verify asset existence through physical verification
• Audit production records and yield calculations.

Fraud Prevention & Detection (20%):

• Investigate suspected fraud, theft, irregularities
• Conduct forensic analysis of suspicious transactions
• Interview staff and vendors during investigations
• Review exception reports (duplicate payments, unusual transactions, policy violations)
• Monitor related party transactions
• Verify vendor master data for ghosts/conflicts of interest
• Recommend disciplinary actions based on findings.

Compliance Monitoring (15%):

• Ensure IFRS compliance
• Monitor banking covenants and loan agreement adherence
• Verify regulatory compliance (NESREA, FIRS, pension, PAYE)
• Track external audit management letter issues
• Ensure timely tax filings and remittances.

Process Improvement & Training (10%):

• Identify control gaps and inefficiencies
• Recommend and implement improvements
• Train staff on control procedures and policy compliance
• Monitor KPIs: approval turnaround time, policy violations, audit closure rate.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Auditing, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years internal audit/control experience (manufacturing or export
• preferred)
• CIA, CISA, ICAN/ACCA Part-Qualified minimum
• Strong COSO framework and risk assessment knowledge
• Experience designing control frameworks and SOPs
• Audit software and data analytics proficiency
• Strong investigation and interview skills.

Salary Budget
N280,000 – N380,000 per month.
