Nexia Nigeria, on behalf of its client, a reputable four-star hotel in Abuja, is recruiting a highly competent, experienced, and detail-oriented candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across hotel departments and operations.
• Review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Audit hotel revenue, cash collections, expenditure, procurement, inventory, payroll, and other key financial and operational activities.
• Identify control weaknesses, operational risks, irregularities, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare clear and comprehensive audit reports, including practical recommendations.
• Monitor compliance with approved policies, procedures, budgets, and applicable regulations.
• Follow up on audit findings and recommendations to ensure timely implementation of agreed corrective actions.
• Support management in strengthening risk management, governance, and internal control processes.
• Maintain appropriate audit documentation and working papers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in internal audit, financial control, risk management, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Previous internal audit experience in the hotel/hospitality industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures, risk management, and financial processes.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, report-writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting/audit software.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, independence, and attention to detail.
