Job Title: Inspection Engineer Trainee

Job Description

• We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inspection Engineer Trainee to join our team.
• The successful candidate will assist in the inspection of customers’ Lifting equipment and accessories, ensuring compliance with JC International’s operating procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Under the supervision of an Inspection Engineer, you will coordinate on-site activities to maintain operational efficiency and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare test piece surfaces for inspection activities.
• Conduct inspections under the supervision of the Inspection Engineer.
• Generate accurate and detailed inspection reports.
• Enforce compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.
• Perform proof load testing and thorough examinations of lifting equipment and cargo carrying units under supervision.
• Carry out Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) following JC International’s procedures and customer specifications under the guidance of an Inspection Engineer.
• Ensure job completion forms are signed off by clients upon task completion.
• Attend daily toolbox meetings to review safety and operational plans.
• Participate in weekly reviews of operating procedures and standards.
• Inspect and verify the readiness of materials and tools before starting tasks.
• Record equipment identification numbers in the mobilization booklet.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• BEng / BTech in Engineering of the engineering discipline
• Up to 3 years of experience in a similar inspection engineering role is an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills.
