Job Title: Information Technology Officer (IT)

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Reports To: Head of IT / Operations Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking a competent and proactive IT officer to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support to staff, ensuring system security, and helping to maintain the smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, software, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Provide technical support to employees and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
• Maintain and monitor the company’s network, internet connectivity, and IT systems.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, passwords, and system configurations.
• Perform regular system backups and assist with data recovery when required.
• Monitor IT security and help protect company systems and data from unauthorized access.
• Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment, software, and other technology assets.
• Install software updates, security patches, and system upgrades.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of IT policies and procedures.
• Assist with the procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and system performance issues.
• Maintain proper documentation of IT incidents, repairs, configurations, and procedures.
• Train and guide staff on the proper use of IT systems and applications.
• Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers when necessary.
• Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering,or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant IT experience.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications.
• Knowledge of network administration and IT security.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Windows operating systems and basic server administration.
• Knowledge of routers, switches, and Wi-Fi configuration.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and data protection practices.
• Knowledge of IT support/helpdesk systems.
• Relevant professional IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco (CCNA), or equivalent will be an advantage.
