Job Title: Information System Analyst

Location: Lagos

Key Job Roles
Cloud Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Ensure optimal performance of the virtual machines in Azure by carrying out regular reviews of the resources allocated to the systems.
  • Ensure that the cloud servers are powered on time.
  • Monitor the backup plan for consistency.
  • Monitor and review the Azure monthly consumption report to ensure that it is within the budget.
  • Make recommendations and/or participate in system architecture and design.
  • Provide support, troubleshooting, and design for the cloud and VMware environment.
  • Test the business continuity and disaster recovery plan yearly and document reports.
  • Ensure periodic testing of the NAV database in the cloud.

Network Monitoring/System Optimization:

  • Monitor the performance of the network both at the head office and other locations.
  • Communicate any network-related issues that require escalation to the ISP.
  • Identify opportunities that can improve the efficiency of business processes.
  • Implement traffic shaping to ensure that critical services are given priority on the network.
  • Monitor and verify the legitimacy of every active device on the network daily.

Process Standardization:

  • Ensures that IT operations are in line with known best practices.
  • Using the departmental weekly task schedule, ensure that all weekly tasks are closed.
  • Participate in developing departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in IT project steering committees and be involved in the design phase of any new IT projects.
  • Prepare for any internal audit request and close all findings within the agreed time frame.

M365 and Productivity:

  • Manage the allocation of user licenses on M365.
  • Optimize the application for high performance.
  • Check the latest releases from Microsoft to know when application versions are retired.
  • Update, contribute, and maintain local SharePoint team sites as procedures/documentation change.
  • Manage user’s mobile devices through our Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions (MS Intune).
  • Troubleshoot active sync issues with mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 365 Teams.
  • Support Single Sign-On using Active Directory Federation Services with Multi-Factor Authentication.
  • Perform scripting administration tasks and reporting using PowerShell.
  • Query Exchange environment using the Office 365 Command online tool.
  • Implement and support security policies, such as data retention.
  • Support the messaging environment in the Cloud (Microsoft 365).
  • Manage problem resolution to satisfactory completion by keeping abreast of assigned tickets and following the proper escalation processes via the ticketing system.
  • Review, test, and make recommendations for standard email practices.

Risk Management:

  • Ensure update of the department risk register with new risks.
  • Sensitize others on risk awareness.
  • Represent the department at enterprise risk meetings as the head office risk champion.
  • Review the department risk register to ensure that adequate mitigating measures are put in place.
  • Plan quarterly risk review meetings and document the minutes.
  • Conduct a quarterly departmental risk assessment and document report.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational requirement: B.Sc / HND / OND in Computer Science / Electrical Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum relevant work experience: Minimum of 8 years of graduation experience.
