Job Title: Igbo Language Teacher

Location: Enugu

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Igbo Teacher to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of teaching experience, a deep understanding of the British curriculum, and a strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
• The successful candidate will be passionate about Igbo language and literature and skilled in using technology to enhance learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Igbo lessons in line with the Nigerian-British curriculum.
• Teach Igbo language and literature to students at various levels, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the subject.
• Develop and utilize creative and effective PowerPoint presentations to support lesson delivery.
• Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their best.
• Incorporate digital tools and resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and school events.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

Qualifications

• A degree in Igbo, Education, or a related field.
• IGCSE and SAT Certification
• 2 – 5 years of teaching experience, preferably within the Nigeria-British curriculum.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to integrate technology into teaching.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Salary
N200,000 – N400,000 per month
