We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Human Resource Manager / Head, HR will lead and manage the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including recruiting, interviewing, staff management, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.
  • Overseeing daily workflow across hospital departments.
  • Providing constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handling employee discipline and termination in line with company policy.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Partner with management to develop and execute the hospital’s HR and talent strategy, focusing on current and future staffing needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provide support and guidance to management and staff on complex and sensitive HR issues, such as reasonable accommodations, investigating misconduct, and handling terminations.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates, working with department heads to determine skill and competency needs.
  • Analyze compensation and benefits trends, proposing competitive pay programs to attract and retain talent.
  • Create learning and development programs for internal staff development.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, reviewing policies to maintain legal compliance.
  • Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and talent management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/  Abilities

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as needed.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all HR matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of HR management experience is preferred.
  • SHRM or CIPM certification is highly desired.
