Job Title: HSE Manager (Mining Sector)

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with legal and industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct HSE training and awareness programs for all staff.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with regulatory authorities as required.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in HSE management within the mining or extractive industry.
• Sound knowledge of mining safety standards, environmental compliance, and risk management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 will be an advantage.
