We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HR Officer

Location: Enugu (Onsite not Remote)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee records and documentation.
  • Coordinate staff training and capacity development.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and staff evaluations.
  • Handle disciplinary matters and employee grievances.
  • Develop compensation and benefits structures.
  • Monitor staff attendance, leave, and welfare.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a healthy organizational culture and employee engagement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Recruitment completed within approved timelines.
  • Staff turnover rate maintained within acceptable limits.
  • Employee retention rate improved annually.
  • 100% staff performance appraisals completed on schedule.
  • Training hours per employee achieved annually.
  • Staff productivity improved through HR initiatives.
  • Employee satisfaction score above target.
  • Zero unresolved disciplinary cases beyond stipulated timelines.
  • Full compliance with labour laws and internal HR policies.
  • Accurate payroll and personnel records with zero major errors.
  • Staff absenteeism reduced through effective engagement.
  • HR reports submitted accurately and on time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or related field.
  • Professional certification is an added advantage (e.g., Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Society for Human Resource Management, or Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).
  • HR with experience (preferably in financial services or microfinance).
  • Sound knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.

  • Annual Human Resource Plan.
  • Recruitment and onboarding reports.
  • Updated employee handbook and HR policy manual.
  • Monthly HR dashboard and workforce reports.
  • Performance appraisal reports.
  • Staff training calendar and training evaluation reports.
  • Employee welfare and engagement programs.
  • Succession planning framework.
  • Payroll validation and leave management reports.
  • Compliance reports on labour regulations.
  • Staff disciplinary and grievance resolution reports.
  • Organization structure and manpower plan.

Salary
N120,000 – N150,000 per month.
