We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HR Officer

Location: Ajah, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The HR Officeris responsible for supporting day-to-day human resource operations within the transport unit.
  • The role involves recruitment coordination, staff documentation management, attendance monitoring, compliance enforcement, employee relations, and ensuring smooth workforce administration across drivers, marketers, and operational staff.
  • The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who understands field-based workforce management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment processes for drivers, transport marketers, and support staff.
  • Manage staff documentation including employment letters, guarantor forms, ID verification, and personnel files.
  • Monitor staff attendance, shift schedules, and report absenteeism or irregularities.
  • Support onboarding and orientation of new transport staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational guidelines.
  • Handle employee relations issues and escalate disciplinary matters when necessary.
  • Prepare HR reports including headcount, attendance, recruitment status, and staff performance updates.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and update HR databases.
  • Support payroll preparation by validating attendance and staff data.
  • Conduct periodic field visits to ensure staff compliance and operational discipline.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years HR experience (experience in transport, logistics, or field operations is an advantage).
  • Knowledge of basic Nigerian labour regulations.
  • Experience handling workforce documentation and attendance management.

  • Ability to manage field-based staff
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
