Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and responsible Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the hotel’s housekeeping operations and ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces are consistently maintained to high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
• The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel housekeeping management or supervision and be capable of effectively leading housekeeping staff, monitoring cleaning standards, managing supplies, and ensuring a pleasant and comfortable environment for hotel guests.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team.
• Ensure guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and other hotel facilities are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Inspect guest rooms and other areas to ensure they meet the hotel’s cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Assign daily duties and cleaning schedules to housekeeping staff.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Train and guide housekeeping staff on proper cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and guest service.
• Ensure adequate availability and proper use of cleaning products, equipment, toiletries, linen, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Monitor housekeeping inventory and inform management when supplies need to be replenished.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of hotel linen and housekeeping equipment.
• Coordinate with the front desk and other departments regarding room status, guest requests, check-ins, and check-outs.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints or concerns relating to cleanliness and housekeeping services.
• Ensure lost-and-found items are properly recorded and handled according to hotel procedures.
• Monitor housekeeping staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and conduct.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Identify maintenance issues in guest rooms and promptly report them to the appropriate department.
• Ensure housekeeping operations are carried out efficiently while minimizing unnecessary use or wastage of supplies.
• Prepare or maintain relevant housekeeping reports and records.
• Support management in maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and hotel presentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager, or similar role.
• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is required.
• Strong knowledge of professional cleaning procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Good understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.
• Strong leadership and staff supervision skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to inspect rooms and identify areas requiring attention or improvement.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Must be reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and professional.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative when required.

Ideal Candidate

• The ideal candidate is a hands-on and experienced housekeeping professional who can effectively manage a housekeeping team, maintain high standards of cleanliness across the hotel, monitor supplies and staff performance, and ensure guests consistently receive a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment.

Remuneration
Salary: N220,000 – N250,000 monthly, depending on experience and competence.
