We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hotel Internal Auditor (Female Preferably)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Financial Audits:

• Conduct periodic audits of financial records, transactions, and processes.
• Ensure accuracy of revenue collection, billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

Operational Audits:

• Review the efficiency and effectiveness of various hotel departments (front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, etc.).
• Examine inventory control systems and procedures in outlets and storerooms.

Compliance Monitoring:

• Verify compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations (e.g., tax, labor, and health codes).
• Ensure the hotel adheres to industry-specific regulatory requirements.

Risk Assessment:

• Identify potential areas of financial and operational risk.
• Recommend risk mitigation strategies and improvements in control systems.

Reporting:

• Prepare clear and concise audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Present audit results to senior management and follow up on action plans.

Process Improvement:

• Recommend enhancements to systems, controls, and procedures.
• Work with department heads to implement process improvements.

Cash Handling and Revenue Audit:

• Monitor daily cash flow and review night audit reports.
• Validate the accuracy of point-of-sale and property management system reports.

Training and Guidance:

• Educate staff on internal control standards and fraud prevention.
• Support implementation of audit recommendations.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND in relevant fields with 5 years work experience.
