The Nasarawa State Teachers Service Commission is responsible for the recruitment, deployment, and management of teachers in public schools across Nasarawa State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: History Teacher

Location: Nasarawa
CAT A: Core Priority Subjects

Job Detail

• Core Priority Subjects are critical subjects for achieving minimum educational standards and ensuring strong student performance in national examinations

Educational Qualifications

• For Primary Schools: Minimum of NCE from a recognised institution
• For Secondary Schools: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor’s degree with PGDE
• TRCN certification is mandatory for secondary school teachers
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (for degree holders).

Other Requirements:

• Certificate of origin from Nasarawa State (or proof of residency)
• Birth certificate or sworn declaration of age
• Valid means of identification (National ID, Voter’s card, etc.)
• Computer literacy certificate (added advantage)
• Professional references from previous employers.
