Job Title: Head of Supply Chain

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Head of Supply Chain to lead and coordinate our end-to-end supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s production and business objectives.
• Lead and coordinate procurement, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and distribution activities.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, packaging materials, spare parts, and other production requirements.
• Develop, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
• Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed specifications and delivery timelines.
• Establish effective inventory control systems to prevent stockouts, overstocking, material waste, and unnecessary working capital commitments.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality Control, Sales, Finance, and other departments to forecast and plan material requirements.
• Monitor supply chain costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Develop and monitor procurement and inventory budgets.
• Ensure proper documentation and authorization of purchasing and supply chain activities.
• Monitor inbound and outbound logistics and ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of materials and finished products.
• Establish appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels, reorder points, and inventory controls.
• Monitor market trends, supplier pricing, availability of materials, and potential supply risks.
• Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions to production and business operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead, train, supervise, and develop the Supply Chain team.
• Prepare and present regular supply chain performance reports to Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with significant experience in a managerial or senior supply chain role.
• Proven experience in manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, plastic, steel, or related production environments.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, supplier management, and demand planning.
• Demonstrable experience negotiating with local and international suppliers.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing materials, production requirements, and inventory planning.
• Experience using ERP systems, inventory management systems, or procurement software is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, quality, availability, and delivery.
• Professional certification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related fields will be an added advantage.
