Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Sales to lead and manage the company’s sales operations and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve the company’s revenue and volume targets.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the sales department.
• Set sales targets for regions, branches, teams, and individual sales personnel.
• Monitor sales performance and ensure that targets are consistently pursued and achieved.
• Develop strategies for customer acquisition, retention, market expansion, and increased market share.
• Analyse sales reports, market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of Sales Managers, BDMs, Supervisors, Sales Representatives, and other sales personnel.
• Establish effective sales performance monitoring and reporting systems.
• Work closely with Operations, Finance, Logistics, HR, and other departments to ensure smooth sales execution.
• Develop strategies to improve product distribution and market penetration.
• Monitor sales territories and identify underperforming areas requiring corrective action.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners.
• Ensure effective implementation of pricing, promotional, and trade strategies.
• Review sales forecasts and ensure adequate stock availability to support sales targets.
• Identify challenges affecting sales performance and recommend appropriate solutions to Management.
• Prepare and present periodic sales performance reports to Management.
• Coach, mentor, and develop the sales team to improve productivity and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with company sales policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Sales Management, or a related field.
• Masters degree is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in sales leadership and management, preferably in FMCG, distribution, retail, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of sales strategy, distribution, territory management, and business development.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sales teams and achieve challenging targets.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work with sales data and performance reports.
• Candidates with relevant industry experience will be given preference.
