Job Title: Head of Quality Assurance

Location: Isolo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with relevant national and international regulatory requirements.
• Stay abreast of changes in regulations and standards related to pharmaceutical quality.
• Interact with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
• Oversee the quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
• Collaborate with research and development teams to establish quality standards for new products.
• Establish and maintain robust documentation and record-keeping systems.
• Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
• Conduct internal and external quality audits to assess compliance with standards and regulations.
• Develop corrective and preventive action plans based on audit findings.
• Provide training on quality procedures and standards to employees.
• Ensure that all staff is aware of and adheres to quality policies.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes.
• Implement measures to enhance overall product quality and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate quality-related risks.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for quality assurance.
• Evaluate and manage the quality performance of suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure that raw materials and components meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferably Pharmacy.
• Experience: Not less than 5 year experience in quality assurance roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in managing QA teams. In-depth knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines (PCN, SON, NAFDAC).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address quality issues.
