Job Title: Head, Financial Control / Chief Financial Officer

Location: Ilorin, Kwara

Report to: General Manager and the Board

Objective

• Candidates will ensure optimal allocation of Media’s resources as well as ensure the accurate maintenance of the financial records in order to optimize the liquidity position of the media and mitigate financial, business and reputational risks.

Role and Responsibilities

• Preparation and presentation of Monthly Management Account to the board through GM/supervisory Director
• Budget preparation and budgetary control
• Managing day to day processing of accounts receivable and payable and producing reports as requested.
• Develop, maintain and monitor all accounting systems and procedures capturing all billings and receipts and for the recording of all revenue transactions, recommend and implement improvements to systems.
• Investment and fund management
• Daily report to GM on liquidity position and performance of the Media
• Chief driver of media Performance measurement management of the staff
• The custodian of the media budget and effective implementation
• Preparation and Presentation of Monthly Performance Review (MPR) report
• Remittance of statutory deductions on monthly basis such as PAYE, WHT, VAT, NSITF etc.
• Authorization of payment of vendors and staff payroll
• Insuring the entire media Asset
• Weekly media Reconciliation statement
• Any other duties as assigned by GM and Board

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate in Accounting or any related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the Media industry
• Relevant professional qualification is mandatory (ACCA or ACA)
