Job Summary

• We are seeking a results-driven and disciplined Head of Collections to manage and improve the debt recovery strategy for our operations in Benin.
• This role will oversee the collections team, monitor repayment portfolios, and ensure efficient and ethical recovery processes while maintaining customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full collections process across all accounts in the Benin region.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to reduce delinquency rates and improve recovery.
• Supervise and support field agents and collections officers to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Analyze portfolio performance, aging reports, and repayment trends.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment promises, and recoveries.
• Ensure all recovery activities comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Work closely with the credit, risk, and operations teams to improve loan quality and minimize defaults.
• Escalate high-risk accounts and recommend legal or repossession action where necessary.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the collections team.

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience in credit control, loan recovery, or debt collections.
• Proven leadership experience in managing a collections team.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of credit risk, loan lifecycle, and debt recovery procedures.
• Must be a resident in or willing to relocate to Benin City.

Salary
N200,000 monthly.
