Job Title: Head of Audit

Role Description

• The Head of Audit is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for leading the internal audit function and ensuring robust financial and operational controls across the station.
• This role oversees audit planning, execution, and reporting, including reviewing financial records, assessing risk, and evaluating internal control systems.
• The Head of Audit will design and implement audit methodologies, monitor compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and applicable standards, and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
• Day-to-day tasks include supervising audit team members, coordinating with finance and accounting teams, preparing clear audit reports, and presenting findings and action plans to senior management.
• The role also involves supporting strategic decision-making by providing insights on risk management, efficiency, and governance.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 8 – 10 Years of experience
• NYSC
• Strong auditing and internal controls skills, with experience designing, implementing, and reviewing audit frameworks.
• Solid finance and accounting skills, including an understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make sound recommendations.
• Proven experience in an audit leadership role, preferably within media, broadcasting, or a similar dynamic industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a high level of integrity and ethical judgment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to mentor, coach, and develop audit staff.
