Job Title: Gym / Pool Instructor

Location: Abuja
Reports To: Operations Manager/Supervisor

Job Summary

• The Pool/Gym Instructor is responsible for supervising and maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and proper use of DAL’s swimming pool and gym facilities. The role supports guests in using fitness and recreational facilities safely while ensuring equipment and facility standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise guests using the swimming pool and gym facilities.
• Provide basic guidance and instruction on the safe use of gym equipment.
• Monitor pool activities and enforce pool safety rules.
• Ensure gym and pool areas are clean, safe, and properly organized.
• Conduct routine checks of gym equipment and pool facilities.
• Report damaged, faulty, or unsafe equipment and maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist guests with basic fitness or exercise guidance within their level of competence.
• Ensure gym equipment is returned and properly arranged after use.
• Monitor and replenish basic facility supplies where required.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of facility use, incidents, and maintenance concerns.
• Ensure guests follow all applicable pool and gym rules.
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude toward guests.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of OND / SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a gym instructor, fitness attendant, pool attendant, lifeguard, or similar role is an advantage.
• Relevant fitness, swimming, first aid, or safety certification is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of gym equipment and pool safety procedures.

Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 / month
