Wicrypt is a service that allows its users to get paid while sharing their WiFi. Wifi can be shared via Wicrypt routers or via your mobile phone. With Wicrypt, users can have access to more affordable internet data while also giving them the power to earn from providing affordable internet data.

Wicrypt seeks to democratise internet access Globally. Through our strategic partnerships, the team will deploy wifi hotspots across the nation and would in turn securely connect users to the WiFi network.

Job Summary
You will help us build and drive massive user growth and engagement for our Wifi platform.

The Opportunity

  • The role of the Growth manager is critical to ensure that the infrastructure deployed is optimised by millions of users. This entails working with the team in designing and implementing relevant campaigns. It also entails, actively connecting with and engaging users to actively use the product. The Growth manager would be the face of the company across several pockets of user groups and develop them into dedicated fans. The role will be instrumental in building a base of millions of loyal users that use our Wicrypt network.

Job Description
The Challenge:

  • We’re looking for a Growth Manager to join our team who will build and evolve a fast growing function within the company.
  • Own user relations, positioning Wicrypt as the as the solution of choice for millions of consumers in need of Wifi access.
  • Develop user communities by leading customer interactions, referrals, and references
  • Increase user engagement
  • Support the platform’s technical management’s understanding of user satisfaction drivers, competitive products and opportunities for improvement
  • Own company’s understanding of product/market fit, win rates, churn reasons, and competitive landscape by segment and persona
  • Articulate and share Wicrypt’s unique value proposition
  • Equip teams with consistent user-messaging and supporting marketing collateral
  • We’ll look to you to help grow the team, establish Performance metrics and operating rhythm, accurately forecast business outcomes, and work effectively with all key stakeholders (internal and external).

The Team:

  • The Growth Manager will plug into the Marketing team and will collaborate with the Product team members to design and execute campaigns that would target the users. The objective of the team would be to drive awareness and adoption of the wifi product according to set targets.
  • The team would deploy various above and below the line marketing strategies to achieve its objectives. The team is a cohesive unit that is bound by commitment to excellence, integrity, user obsession and accountability.

Within 1 Month, You’ll:

  • Complete our employee on-boarding program designed to get you up to speed on all aspects of our business.
  • You’ll learn about our business, product, vision and team and gain an understanding about how your role fits into Wicrypt’s broader organization
  • Craft individual Performance targets for the current quarter and get sign-off from line manager
  • Craft user engagement (marketing) plan
  • Meet with key internal stakeholders and start building relationships
  • Achieve user growth target for month 1 as agreed with line manager

Within 3-6 Months, You’ll:

  • Meet and exceed user growth targets (month-on-month) by attracting new users
  • Engage current and potential users via multiple platforms: Social Media, Offline road shows, Virtual and Offline Meet-ups & conferences (with a clear value add for users)
  • Review user analytics and use insights gathered to refine marketing efforts and to ensure percentage of active users is above 75%
  • Meet with key internal stakeholders and start building relationships
  • Refine and execute user growth / engagement (marketing) plan
  • Work with creative arm of marketing team to drive marketing efforts
  • Lead and own user communications
  • Update user-marketing communications pieces
  • Spotlight our business partners at user events
  • Understand the concerns of users and relay same to the internal technical support team
  • Liaise with all key stakeholders as required to ensure a great user experience
  • Work with the rest of the marketing team to grow organic website traffic

Within 12 Months, You’ll:

  • Meet and exceed user growth targets (month-on-month)
  • Engage users via multiple platforms:
    • Social Media
    • Virtual and Offline Meet-ups & conferences (with a clear value add for users)
  • Review user analytics and use insights gathered to refine marketing efforts – organic web sessions, time on platform, user engagement, time to convert, NPS & response rate, user reviews, user churn etc.
  • Meet with key internal stakeholders and start building relationships
  • Refine and execute user engagement (marketing) plan
  • Onboard additional members of the team as required
  • Craft user-marketing budget

Requirements
The Skill set:

  • You are currently a Manager or with comparable scope. You have a first degree.
  • You possess 3 or more years of functional leadership experience in either WiFi / Telecoms consumer Sales and/or Marketing. Proficient in B2B and B2B2C Product/Service Marketing.
  • Experience should also include demonstrated expertise in planning & forecasting.
  • Experience should also include hiring, training, coaching and developing a high performing team.
  • Knowledge of crypto or blockchain will be a plus
  • Must-have attributes include hustle, grit/determination, dynamism, entrepreneurial ambition, customer-centric mindset, comfort in ambiguity, and deep consumer-level sales & marketing expertise. Analytical rigor and bias for iteration are also required.
  • Experience or interest in the Networking, Telecoms, Wifi Networking Technology space
  • Ability to be based primarily out of our offices but also have the flexibility to work remotely and in other locations (nationally).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (free of errors of logic and grammar)
  • Skill in crafting benefit-oriented messaging addressed to users
  • External company relations
  • Building and leveraging user-promoters in marketing efforts
