Job Title: Grant Writer & Investor Relations Lead

Location: Onipan, Lagos

Role Summary

  • The Grant Writer & Investor Relations Lead is responsible for securing sustainable funding for the organization through grants, donor partnerships, impact investors, and strategic funding opportunities.
  • The role combines strong storytelling, financial understanding, and relationship management to position the organization as a top-tier investment and funding recipient in the healthtech and logistics ecosystem.
  • You will lead end-to-end grant processes, manage investor engagement pipelines, and support long-term capital strategy for growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
Grant Writing & Fundraising:

  • Identify and track relevant local and international grant opportunities (foundations, NGOs, multilaterals, CSR programs).
  • Lead the full grant lifecycle: opportunity screening, proposal development, submission, and follow-up.
  • Write compelling, data-driven grant proposals, concept notes, and funding applications.
  • Work with internal teams to gather data, KPIs, budgets, and impact metrics for proposals.
  • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting standards.

Investor Relations & Capital Raising:

  • Develop and manage relationships with impact investors, venture capital firms, DFIs, and strategic partners.
  • Prepare investor materials including pitch decks, financial models, and impact reports.
  • Support fundraising strategy for equity, debt, and blended finance opportunities.
  • Coordinate investor meetings, due diligence processes, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain an updated investor CRM pipeline and engagement tracker.
  • Support leadership in fundraising negotiations and deal structuring.

Strategic Partnerships:

  • Identify strategic partners (health systems, logistics partners, governments, NGOs) aligned with funding or expansion goals.
  • Support partnership proposals that include funding, co-financing, or grant-linked collaborations.
  • Represent the organization at funding forums, pitch events, and partner meetings.

Impact & Reporting:

  • Work with operations and data teams to develop impact reports for donors and investors.
  • Translate operational performance into compelling narratives and measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure all funded projects meet reporting and audit requirements.

Market Intelligence:

  • Track funding trends in healthtech, logistics, and development sectors.
  • Monitor competitor fundraising and donor priorities.
  • Provide insights to leadership on emerging funding opportunities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Total funding secured (grants + investments)
  • Number of successful grant applications submitted
  • Conversion rate of investor meetings to commitments
  • Size and growth of funding pipeline
  • Timeliness and quality of donor/investor reports
  • Strength of strategic partnerships established

Key Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Public Health, Development Studies, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–6 years experience in grant writing, fundraising, investor relations, or development finance.
  • Proven track record of successfully secured grants or investment funding.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills (grant proposals, pitch decks, reports).
  • Strong financial literacy (budgets, forecasts, basic financial modeling).
  • Ability to translate technical/operational data into compelling narratives.
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with donor ecosystems (USAID, Gates Foundation, EU, DFIs, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Experience in healthtech, logistics, development sector, or startups is a plus.

  • A consistent pipeline of active funding opportunities.
  • Increased non-dilutive funding (grants) and strategic capital inflow.
  • Strong investor confidence and engagement.
  • Well-documented impact story aligned with organizational growth.

Salary
N400,000 – N450,000 monthly.
