About the Role

• Reliable Steel and Plastic Industry Limited is seeking a highly motivated, intelligent, and career-driven Graduate Trainee to join our Production Department.
• This role is an excellent opportunity for a young professional looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing, production management, factory operations, process improvement, quality management, and team supervision.
• The successful candidate will undergo structured practical training and gain hands-on exposure to various aspects of production operations while working alongside experienced production professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and coordinating daily production activities.
• Support the Production Supervisor in achieving daily and monthly production targets.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to approved procedures.
• Assist with manpower planning, deployment, and effective utilization of production workers.
• Monitor workers’ productivity, attendance, punctuality, and compliance with company policies.
• Ensure production activities are carried out in accordance with established SOPs, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Assist in identifying production bottlenecks, downtime, wastage, and operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
• Work closely with Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve production-related issues.
• Assist in monitoring the proper handling and utilization of raw materials and production resources.
• Promote good housekeeping, workplace safety, discipline, and 5S practices within the production area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Prepare or assist with daily production reports and communicate operational issues to management.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Production Manager or designated supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Production, Sciences, Management, or a related discipline.
• Must have successfully completed NYSC.
• 0–2 years of experience, preferably with exposure to supervisory, production, factory, or team-management responsibilities.
• Previous experience in a plastic manufacturing company as a Supervisor, Factory Helper, Production Assistant, Team Lead, or similar role will be an added advantage.
• Strong interest in manufacturing and production operations.
• Good leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate and work effectively with production workers.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines and targets.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer applications.
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced factory environment and operate shifts when required.
• Must demonstrate high levels of discipline, integrity, accountability, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
