Job Title: General Manager – Poultry and Livestock Farm

About the Role

• We are seeking a vibrant, results-driven General Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across its farm operations.
• The successful candidate will oversee feed mill production, hatchery, layers, broilers, breeding, engineering, sales, procurement, finance, and administration — driving productivity, profitability, and sustainable growth.
• This role requires a visionary leader with deep knowledge of farm operations, sales, and marketing, coupled with strong financial discipline, people management, and commercial acumen.
• A Veterinary Medicine or Animal Science background will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across all departments.
• Translate the Board’s vision into measurable business and production goals.
• Ensure high performance across hatchery, feed mill, layers, and broiler operations.
• Drive cost optimization, efficiency, and data-driven performance reporting.
• Implement ERP systems and enforce KPI-based accountability.
• Lead sales, marketing, and customer growth strategies for all product lines.
• Ensure sound financial management, governance, and compliance.
• Foster teamwork, innovation, and continuous operational improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Education: B.Sc./DVM in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, or related field (MBA or M.Sc. Agribusiness is an advantage).
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership in integrated poultry or livestock operations.
• Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and organizational capability.
  • Excellent understanding of feed mill, hatchery, and animal production systems.
  • Proven track record in farm operations and commercial management.
  • Financial discipline and analytical decision-making.
  • Tech-savvy with ERP and performance management tools.
  • Energetic, innovative, and results-oriented personality.

Performance Expectations:

• Daily Egg Production:≥ 3,000 crates/day
• Hatchery Output:≥ 200,000 DOCs/week
• Feed Mill Utilization:≥ 85% capacity
• Commercial Broiler Production:8,000–10,000 birds/week ready for market
• Meat Processing Output:5–8 tons of processed poultry meat weekly (graded, packaged, and ready for distribution)
• ERP & KPI Implementation:100% departmental adoption and compliance.
