Job Title: Front Desk Cashier

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • A Front Desk Cashier is a hybrid role that combines customer service, administrative support, and financial transaction handling.
  • Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering phones, resolving inquiries, processing payments via cash, checks, or credit cards, issuing receipts, balancing the till, maintaining a tidy workspace, and performing various clerical duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Welcome visitors, answer and direct phone calls, and provide information to customers and guests.
  • Cash Handling: Process payments (cash, checks, credit cards), issue receipts, and accurately manage the cash float.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Accurately count and reconcile cash and transactions at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Administrative Support: Handle mail, maintain guest records, file documents, and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Keep the front desk, cash register, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and tidy.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND with 3 – 4 years of experience.

Skills:

  • Customer Service Skills: A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor is essential for creating a positive first impression.
  • Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate cash handling, transaction processing, and record-keeping.
  • Multitasking Ability: The capacity to handle multiple responsibilities, such as answering phones and processing payments, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Professional and clear communication, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate cash registers or Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.

Example Duties:

  • Greets customers and directs them to the appropriate department.
  • Processes payments for goods, services, or other transactions.
  • Balances cash drawer and prepares deposits.
  • Maintains appointment schedules or customer records.
  • Provides information about products, services, or local attractions.

Salary
N80,000 – N100,000 / month.
