Job Brief

• One of our clients setting the pace in the educational sector seeks the services of a French teacher. The school is located at the Apo, Abuja. The role requires promoting the learning of the French language and culture in an engaging and inspiring manner.
• French Teacher responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assessing student’s abilities, tracking their progress, and communicating with parents.
• Our ideal candidate is fluent in French, experienced in teaching, and has a passion for language education.
• Ultimately, the role of a French Teacher is to foster a positive learning environment, inspire a love for the French language, and ensure all learners meet their learning objectives.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons in French language and culture
• Assess learners’ abilities and progress through testing and other means
• Assign and grade homework and classwork
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences
• Stay updated on current teaching methodologies, curriculum trends, and cultural developments in French-speaking countries
• Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate cross-curriculum themes and increase language exposure
• Organize cultural outings and immersion experiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant field. A Master’s degree is preferred
• Proven experience as a French Teacher
• Fluency in French
• Teaching certification
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with various teaching methods and the ability to differentiate instruction
• Patience and flexibility
• Passion for teaching and working with learners

Salary
N130,000 – N150,000 / month.
