We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Forehearth Specialist

Location: Agbara, Ogun

Job Purpose

• Monitor and control forehearth temperature zones to ensure uniform glass distribution to forming machines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper conditioning of molten glass for optimal forming performance and bottle quality. Coordinate production activities to ensure that high-quality bottles are produced in line with the quality plan
• Work with the forming team to support gob formation, weight control, and consistency. Ensure all job change activities are carried out efficiently and in line with production requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot forehearth-related defects affecting product quality.
• Optimize fuel consumption and improve thermal efficiency of the forehearth system.
• Ensure proper maintenance and inspection of forehearth equipment, including burners, thermocouples, and refractories.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Identify environmental risks in operations and implement control measures to minimize impact.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Glass Technology or related disciplines
• 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Ability to use Microsoft Suites – excel, words and power point
• Good communication oral/written and report writing skills.
